Marked By Favor
Aloha Jo! At the office there are all kinds of shenanigans. It's sometimes can seem like high school with issues that go on. We have a lot of laughter, stress that comes with every job, and compassion for our co-workers.
We have a visitor that comes to our offices and leaves presents. I have not received any presents since my first day. I recognized over past month it is the favor of God. Let's put a pen there.
There was a time when the Israelites were in bondage in Egypt. God sent a man named Moses to release them from rule of Pharaoh. Why would he release slaves that are building his empire? Oh, and by the way Moses, Pharaoh's heart will be hardened to the idea, but I'm gonna send you anyway. Moses was faithful to the task.
Through the dilemma with Pharaoh God
began to distinguish His people from the Egyptians. There was a series of outbreaks or epidemics that occurred due to Pharaoh's stubbornness. Initially these outbreaks touched everyone: no water, frogs galore, gnats, but then.....the plagues only affected the homes and lives of the Egyptians. WOW!
Most of us wonder could that really happen? Can you imagine being the only house on the street with electricity, only your kids stay healthy from chicken pox no vaccines, or it snowed two feet, but it is 80 degrees with sunshine over your home? It's another way to say you are marked by the unseen yet seen hand of God.
So let's pick that pen back up. In the office the visitor is a mouse. Every morning we come in and he has left several colleagues unwrapped presents. Obviously, not the kind we really desire. God reminded me my prayers fill this office, His authority is over living creatures, He controls ALL
things, and His blood marks us with favor!
The favor that sickness may come but like Job God says "you can only do this but can't take their life and then you have to doubly bless them." Favor that you receive an upgrade to first class, discounts, rebates, and connections because you are marked by favor! There is nothing like the favor of the Father.
Others receive layoffs and in your industry you receive promotions. Even the layoffs lead you to blessings! You children have their teenage woes.....well when the Egyptians kids across the street are on Fox News you are thanking God!
So my friend, look around, be quiet, listen, and you will begin to realize God has marked you with favor. Favor builds our faith for every obstacle and reinforces the fact God is God! God controls everything, mice, sickness, finances, supervisors, He is The Creator! So rest in the path of life my friend because we are marked by favor!
