JUST TRUST ME

I remember as a child my dad would toss me in the air catch me and repeat this homemade rollercoaster.  As I got older, he would hold my hands and I would jump as he pulled me up, not as high.  Obviously, as a teenager I was too large and my dad couldn't do this anymore.  I wonder if that is how we gain our understanding of G-d?

This picture reminds me of the popular television show, Let's Make A Deal!  The audience is shouting, “yes and no,” but they have no clue what is behind the door.  It could be a car or a cow, eww!  Yet, the One that actually knows what is behind "the door," we tend to ignore. So why don't we trust Him?

My friend I would like you to think back just to last decade. How many times did God amaze you? I've heard it said, "trust God when you cannot trace Him."  The reality is, we can trace Him in ALL we do.  How many almost did God intervene in your life? Almost died, car accident, foreclosure, loss, sickness, and even if, you came out with BETTER and BIGGER!

Ruth and Naomi experienced a dreadful situation, as mother and daughter-in-love, becoming widows.   How could such loss become such a blessing?  So glad you asked. They decided to follow God, by returning to Bethlehem (means House of God), and anyone that follows God is always amazed in the end. In actuality God never told Naomi's husband, Elimelech, to leave and go to Moab.  Sometimes we have to retrace our steps to where the well of blessings flowed even when there seems to be a dry spell.  So, after ten years in Moab, gaining a daughter losing husband and two sons, Naomi returns to the "House of God."

Unfortunately, most of us pursue God more in these times, but daily devotion accelerates our destinations in each season.  Our reliance upon God navigates us down unknown roads reaches unimaginable depths of faith.  Deep dive.

In short, Ruth remarries this amazing man named Boaz, after she labored in his field for eight to ten months. He was much more than she could have hoped.  If anyone has earned our trust God has.  So my friend, what is God asking you to leave or let go? Recently after waiting I was overlooked for "promotion," again.  As I asked God questions, I heard Him say, "Just Trust Me".  Perhaps thoughts to start a business, ministry, or have a child but doubt arises? Take a minute, no really, take five minutes to write down the last decade, moments when God has come through for you! This page of faith will turn into a book of faith, just like the Bible.  Believe God again, He has GREAT things in store for us!

May you trust God and RESPOND.
