It's Temporary
It's Temporary
It's not Christmas time yet, but a few weeks ago we had this

Suddenly, Saturday afternoon we had this gorgeous sunny day! It's the simple reminder to us that everyone in life is seasonal or temporary from: relationships, careers, residence, everything, except One thing. So often we make permanent decisions for temporary situations. It's so true! We were all once teenagers with zits & pimples, growth spurts, first date, job, sickness, death of loved ones, all moments of uncertainty work themselves out over time. AND…….it is the test of resiliency of our convictions and what really matters.
When I was in college I worked as an intern for an engineer firm for a few months. This gave me the opportunity to discover if the discipline I was pursuing and what area I would consider to specialize in. Napoleon Hill said, “opportunity often comes disguised in the form of misfortune or temporary defeat.” At the intern, I referenced electric drawings, built panels, created AutoCad drawings, assisted in some paperwork, and made mistakes. The season was for me to learn, uncover what I already knew, and discover what I didn't. Sounds like life!
My friend, every season of our life is temporary and it is about these three things: to educate us, reveal us, and refine us, and while having fun I might add. How many arguments have been meaningless? How many worries, fears, or doubts were empty threats? Say, it’s Temporary!Even as I struggled from sickness and recovery of surgery these principles were present. God has designed our lives as an ongoing scholastic event! We grow stronger in our faith, our witness, and curiosity like a child as He refines us.
Life is more than lemons to
lemonade, water and clay makes pottery, peaches make cobbler, kermes bugs make
red dye, and flour makes biscuits. We must learn to see beyond the situations,
the problems, and envision the possibilities.
My friend, it’s only temporary! God has better in EVERYTHING!
