TOGETHER WITH GOD
In this instance, Abraham
departed for Moriah secretly holding intel that would change Isaac’s life. (Moriah means the land of teaching.) Can you imagine as a parent being told to
sacrifice your child? Your only
child? A child you waited for 25 yrs. to
be born? Yet, Abraham immediately
departed a three-day journey in obedience.
Fortunately, Abraham didn’t do the following:
1.
He didn’t phone a friend
2.
He didn’t question God
3.
He didn’t complain
When Abraham and Isaac arrived after their three-day journey, they started another trek. This trek after Isaac for thirty years forged a bond, foundation, and faith with both fathers. Do we have that bond with our Heavenly Father? In order to, work together we must first be unified or like-minded. Though in two bodies they were one in mind. They were going up the mountain to present an offering to God. Isaac raised the question where is the offering? Abraham responded, God will provide. Isaac had heard this for thirty years, so he could trust that statement. Have you found those you don’t have to explain everything to? They simply trust God in you? Together Isaac and Abraham reached the top of the mountain to worship together. In the midst of their obedience together God revealed more blessings than they both knew. Will your faith take you up the mountain? It will together.
I have a friend that doesn’t trust me at all. However, this friend simply trusts what God placed in
me, Him. Even when we are unaware of the
full picture, together we have seen God do amazing things. This trust works both ways in our
relationship. Again, when I played my
freshman in college, I had a teammate that trust what God had placed in me and
vice versa. Together we won a championship,
and we finished seventh in the nation. Then
as a collegiate coach we orchestrated a NCAA run in the bleakest situation
together. The moment the head coach
trusting me simply pray not offer a solution.
There is a difference in trusting a person and trusting God in a
person. We must choose to do the
latter. Oftentimes, we are disappointed
because we trust the fallacy of an individual.
Perhaps my friend, you are learning to trust again from
failed relationships or circumstances.
Learn to trust God in every situation and you will always discover His
success. For together with God we are:
Better Together Stronger
Together Walk Together Wiser Together Overcome Together
Fall Together Recover Together Celebrate Together Worship Together Laugh Together
Dance Together Learn Together Cry Together
Work Together Believe Together
Advance Together Grow Together Rise Together Pray Together
The contrast as Helen Keller stated, “Alone we can do so little;
together we can do so much." We
continue the pattern:
Alone we can build a house, together we can build a family.
Alone we can have a family, together we produce a legacy.
Alone we can conquer a street, together we can conquer a community.
Alone we can have a dream, together we can make it a reality.
When Abraham and Isaac, together, with a knife over Isaac, in
trust, GREAT things occur. A ram
appeared, that wasn’t a sacrifice or substitute, the ram was the original solution from
God. Yet, Abraham and Isaac could only
discover the solution at the top of the mountain, together. Our solution is at the top where we meet with
God!
God gave Abraham the
initial promise and each step God multiplied and gave Abraham details that
would have made him laugh again like Sarah.
God is going to make
you laugh when you trust Him with His promises as you journey through
2022. Trust that TOGETHER with what He
is doing when you entire the land of Moriah.
Abraham went up with Isaac, together but when they came down nations came down with them. You will go in to work for a company and leave owning it. You will go in with a sickness and leave with the panacea. You will go in rejected and come out resurrecting others. Instead of misery God is producing MIRACLES 2022!! Together with God, there is NOTHING we cannot do!!!
May this song encourage your spirit. Most Beautiful by Maverick City
