GOD DELIVERS

Too hot to handle, too hot to hold, I’m so glad Jesus is in control!  There are days that leave us in a daze and feel like a whirlwind.  Suddenly, you think of the words, "if you can’t stand the heat get out the kitchen."  Much like most of us the kitchen chose you, not you chose the kitchen.  The word hot doesn't adequately describe the moment! No, I’m not speaking of late August, but moments in our life, much like the three Hebrew boys.  Certainly, these three boys did not wake up and say we’re excited about that furnace we’ll experience today, aren’t you?

Personally, reflecting back to 2005, I never expected to enter the office to discover we had been released from our coaching positions.  The season was average, not bad in comparison to most.  The feelings of betrayal, disappointment, rejection when false accusations of mental and verbal abuse by the staff.  Moments are painful to say the least, then add the pain is like lemon juice poured onto open wounds.  False allegations were stated to justify the release.  Similar to these Hebrew boys, others sought to expose their defiance to worship idols. The scriptures says,

Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with fury and his face became dark with anger at Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He commanded that the furnace be heated up seven times hotter than usual. Dan 3:19

You can wake-up today discover a death in the family, stocks fall, test report states lupus, or the doctor says the unborn child in your womb may have deficiencies.  The great news my friend, in the face of a dark moment, confront it with Jesus!  As long as we are living we must remember, God DELIVERS!

Remember my friend you are set apart, so God can showcase His glory through your life.  Anyone can soar when life is peachy, but what about when it’s seven times hotter?  God is revealed to show His strength, power of forgiveness, that you are an overcomer! Life is not a thirty-minute soap opera.  Life gets ugly, not always fairy tale endings, but you are royalty! 

So you ask what’s the benefit? You know whether you experience a day on the beach, or a day that seems like hell, God DELIVERS!

God delivered me from the hollers of Kentucky to the hills of PA.  My friend I’ve met wonderful people and some of the most amazing moments that Kentucky could have never provided.  In the midst of the heat, remember God created heat, He is doing an extraordinary feat, and turn the heat to AC conditions.  My friend, rest assure God is transporting you into destiny.  So when the heat turns up, know Jesus is with you, to open new doors, because God DELIVERS!
