THE ANSWER

Each of us have experienced a breath of fresh air!  The wind comes and goes, but sometimes there are unique people who come in a whirlwind.

In your car at the light, pondering that question that has been consuming your thoughts for weeks or maybe months.  Suddenly someone pulls up next to you looks over and blows.  After a long hard day, you look over like what now?  You roll down the window and suddenly… we’ll put a pen there.

What Must I Do?

A long time ago there was a man traveling in a carriage and he was reading from a book.  Though he could read the language he had little comprehension of what he was reading. Suddenly……suddenly a man named Phillip saw the man in the carriage from afar.  He heard the man reading out loud, so Phillip drew closer.  As he was several feet from the carriage Phillip shouted up, “sir do you understand what you are reading?”  The man responded, “no, can you help me?”  “I most certainly can!” So the man invited him into his carriage.  Phillip began explaining as the man, an aide to the queen was reading a passage from the book of Isaiah.”

The passage referenced the sacrifice that Jesus became being a sheep to the slaughter and never uttered a word in His death.  Phillip explaining to the Ethiopian eunuch that the life, sacrifice of a man so that we could be free!  Really can you imagine…a man was beaten all night long with a whip that tore flesh from His body.  So much that you could see the tissues and muscle? Since he was a king, they fashioned a crown with two-inch thorns they placed upon his head.  No one else had this pleasure during this time.  His accusers and assailants take great pride in their work.  After an all-night session, the next day this man carried an eighty pound crossbar on his back about a half of a mile, up a hill to a place called Golgatha.  The fatigue in his muscles and his mind, that he could have quit. Yet, he pressed one step at a time, to the place they nailed his body to stakes, and lifted him naked before all to see.  After he hung there, he still listened to two thieves arguing on both sides of him, one thief mocking, the other thief deferential.  So this man with love, continues as he had down for three and half years.  He served them the message from His Father to gain another life to God’s kingdom.  After he forgave the men for brutally beating him, he died.  He did this so you and I can be a part of His Father’s family.  So that all of the evil in this world comes upon Him and not us.

As Philip concluded the passage, the carriage pulled alongside a body of water.  The Ethiopian emphatically stated, “what prohibits me from being baptized?” So they both left the chariot and went into the water.  Philip baptized the Ethiopian and suddenly Philip was gone in a whirlwind.

How amazing that when we are curious as a child or adult that God would send someone to enlighten our path?  Whether we are in college it’s a professor, a walk on the beach a perfect stranger speaks to us, or a dream that gives us insight.  God will send a whirlwind as a breath of fresh air to answer our questions about Him and life.  God will go to what most call an inconvenience, so we will know His great love.  As quickly as Philip came, so quickly he was transported off like Star Trek to his next assignment. We see how God not only sent Jesus, but the gift of Christ in Philip blessed the eunuch.  Freely we receive freely we give the gift given to us to love one another.

Okay back at the red traffic light, the person in the car pulls up next to us and hesitantly he rolled down the window.  Can I help you?  Well I saw you in the grocery store and I was hesitant.  I tried to catch you going out the door.  I know this is strange, but when you walked past I heard this voice say tell him.  Tell him I love him and I’m proud of him.  He doesn’t have to make up for lost time anymore.  Tears began rolling down the man’s face.  The woman went on to say, God forgave you when she accidentally drowned, you don’t have to carry that anymore. The man wiping the tears nodded and said, “thank you!”  Suddenly the light turned green.  The next Sunday as the lady was worshipping this man from the traffic light came in with his family.  The burden he had carried, the questions he had about God, were answered at the traffic light, the twentieth anniversary of the little girl’s death.  Wow!  God is Drippin With Love!’ Receive the God APP!
