LIFE AS A SINGLE

Do you remember when you were a child, summer nights with clear sky, moonlight, and cool breeze?  As I pulled into the driveway the other night, I was reminded of my favorite past time, lightning bugs.  It was a night like any other as I was greeted by one lightning bug. My friend you know God makes our heart smile reflecting on the verse, 

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.  Deut 32:10   

My friend, that one lightning bug was the reminder to me of the days when I only knew to trust God.  Over time, we forget to look at the stars, moon, lightning bugs at night.  Our God is so magnanimous, awesome, and majestic, He created all the elements. 
The verse reminds us no matter how old, famous, or talented we become, we will always be the apple of His eye.  What does that mean? One that is cherished above all others, the center focal point, and a place of security. 

My friend, tonight, you need to go outside look up at the skies and trust God like you did as a child, yes T.R.U.S.T.

Okay, perhaps your life has been perfect and you never experienced disappointments, loss, or success beyond measure like the rest of us.  Are you still dreaming, believing, and moving BIG? You know when you stood in the mirror and said you’d be the next Miss Universe or on the cover of Time Magazine. 

The passage states in a desert, wasted howling wilderness, God says this. So my brother and sister, if God will do that in a desert or wilderness, what can He do in a safari or green pastures?  

Let’s put this in perspective the smallest known star is OLGE-TR-122b, has a radii of 0.12 solar or 167,000 km (103,769 miles).  While the radius of the Earth is 3959 miles.  If God made the earth in seven days and made all the stars, yet we’re the apple of His eye, don’t you believe He is worthy of our trust? This  all is in comparison to the Sun with a radius of 432,169 miles. Wow!

So my friend when you think about your bills, children, marriage, loss, whatever it may be, remember God spoke all creation into existence. Yet, He breathe His precious breath into us.  So I dare you tonight, to reminisce and T.R.U.S.T God again, because He has the whole universe in His hands!
