Whoa! You forgot Jesus whipped the enemy with 3 nails, a crown, and a short stay at the Tombs Inn? My friend, do you know you are 6 Foot tall and then some? You’re a giant! I know you’re thinking, sister, more like 5’10, 4’10, or whatever the doctor last told you.
A few weeks ago, disappointed from unexpected
alteration to schedule, which I’m sure that never happens to you… You guessed, I
was sulking, for about twenty-four hours.
Suddenly, a storm happened and my outlooked shifted as I was reminded of
this passage.
King Zedekiah [fearing the princes] said, “Listen, Jeremiah is in your hand; for the king is in no position to do anything against you.” 6 So they took Jeremiah and threw him into the cistern of Malchijah the king’s son, which was in the court of the guardhouse; and they let Jeremiah down [into the cistern] with ropes. Now there was no water in the cistern but only mud, and Jeremiah sank in the mud. Jer 38:5-6
Life pitches curveballs and catch us off-guard, but not God. In this story Jeremiah is dumped and left to die in a pit, simply for being righteous. He had every right to grumble and fret, but his focus was not outward but inward and God begin to R.I.S.E. in Jeremiah:
Refocus
Ignite and
Soar like an
Eagle
After the storm, as I drove, a rainbow appeared above the cemetery. God reminded me He is faithful above every situation, especially those promises that seem dead. My brother or sister, if you’re six feet above ground, still standing, and breathing, then God has great things ahead. You’re not in a grave, but saved, redeemed! The natural storm gave me the opportunity to R.I.S.E.
Refocus
Ignite and
Soar like an
Eagle
My friend, life pitches: fastball, sliders, or curveballs, and we’re always at the plate alone. When we receive news family or friends aren’t at work, school, or doctor’s office with us. Suddenly, the Spirit of God in you reminds you, of His faithfulness.
Evidently Jeremiah’s adversaries were oblivious to the fight that was within him or you, for GREATER is HE that lives in us than the world. God’s got pushback, both barrels loaded, legions of Angels, and more important His word that will R.I.S.E. in you to remind you whose you are! So my friend, shake it off, dry your tears, refocus, ignite the word so you can soar like an eagle! God is calling you up, out of the pit of your soul, mind, position, and condition to seize the promises for your life. Start rejoicing, your celebration signifies it is here!
