Child, this is God’s world!  God has bigger and better in store for you.  As a matter of fact, God has a BONUS for you!  In our unfamiliarity with our Father’s nature our small thinking, is “stinking thinking.”  Going to the grocery store, as a kid with our parents, we all presumed purchasing was simply placing items in the cart and go home.  As we became adolescents we thought why even go in? The realization that mom and dad cannot purchase everything. It reminds me of this story in Numbers of the spies after forty days,

They reported to Moses and said, “We went in to the land where you sent; and it certainly does flow with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28 But the people who live in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified (walled) and very large; moreover, we saw there the descendants of Anak [people of great stature and courage]. Num 13:27-28

God gives all of us promises, like the children of Israel, when He proclaimed them, He considered the obstacles we’d encounter, including our self-destruction.  As adults like those teenagers, our expectations reflect our experiences from the grocery store.  We’ve appropriated God’s capabilities to our abilities in our world, limited, instead of stepping into God’s!

If we recall Moses only ask them for a report of the land.  Yet, the ten spies included a report of the inhabitants that dwelt there instead of the Promised Land.  Our tendency is to report the problems versus gratitude for the promise.  Did God promise you a business, spouse, child, call, healing but your response includes all of the obstacles?  Child, God is not interesting in what you see or don’t see, but what He said!  You’ve got to walk it, like God owns it.

Our God is great! It’s not if God is able, the question is, “are we willing?” Yes, willing to believe a God that has never failed! Willing to obey His voice.  Willing to stand against the adversity until He advances us into the Promise Land.  My friend, God bequeathed to us an undefeated lifestyle when we joined His family.  Even when we think we lose, we win.

God loves us so much the two spies that believed God, were named Caleb and Joshua.  Their names together mean, “Faithful Savior!” Exactly, Yes, God desired to emphasize, our accounts, strength, love, hope, may be deficient but His grace is sufficient, more than enough.

That text, that upsetting phone call, mountain of bills stop, stop, my friend…. Whatever you are in need of today, remember God is a FAITHFUL SAVIOR! Child, this is God’s world!
