LIFE AS A SINGLE

Have you heard Heaven’s Disclaimer?  We’ve all seen the pharmaceutical and insurance commercials disclaimers stating side effects of nausea, migraines, constipation, weight gain, or insomnia. Basically the condition intensified by additional complications. In the craziness of life Heaven has a disclaimer too. I know you're wondering what is Heaven’s disclaimer, well here is part of the disclosure that states in Hebrews 13:5b; Is 43:1b-2

I will never leave you nor forsake you! Don’t be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. 2 When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you.

That is such great news in the chaos of life Heaven’s policy is FULL COVERAGE!  We see in Matthew 14:22-33 the story of Jesus coming on the sea to the disciples.  It is interesting in this story the disciples in the boat were afraid after all they had experienced with Jesus casting out demons is not a rated E experience. Yet, everyday in our boat called life we become like the disciples and fear grips us when we suddenly encounter the unfamiliar.  We worry, doubt, or have fearful thoughts.  But if we did the forensics we would recognize the frightening circumstance has the fingerprints of Jesus. We must remember Heaven’s COVERAGE!

It is not every day that we see someone walking on the water, air, become a prince from prisoner, widow to redeemed landowner, or genetically engineer a breakthrough drug.  These ideas are inconceivable to the natural mind. In these moments we must be inquisitive like Peter and say, Lord if it is You bid me to come forth? I wonder how many of us reject our destiny because the inital appearance may seem frightening, inexplicable, and new!  My brother or sister, it is okay if you do happen to see the winds and the waves, and if you sink remember you can swim.  Yet these are breakthrough steps, new steps, expansion in your life no one has ever encountered because you desire to be where Jesus is versus where He was.  When we get to Heaven to date, Peter is the only human that has experience walking on the water without skis or in a boat.

My friend these unique moments are where HIS-story, the blessing will truly begin in your life. What are you afraid to get out of the boat in?   Is it a business idea, a ministry, talk show, restaurant, intimacy to birth a child, or the playwright? My friend don’t allow the cousins: fear, doubt, disappointment, or worry keep you in the boat of life!  So you ask how do we overcome these cousins? By exposing them, for God to eliminate them, eradicate the enemy, and expand you! That’s right four Es: expose, eliminate, eradicate, and expand.  The presence of God annihilates the enemies grip and then fully births the extraordinary through our humility.

Most of all, we discover these moments are the greatest instances of faith in our lives to birth the promises of God! Fear simply alerts and announces the circumstances are greater than us, but not God!  So we introduce those cousins to our Father, that takes us from fear to FAITH from doubt to DESTINY, from loneliness to LOVE, and from GLORY to GLORY.   So the next time your palms get sweaty, you have a lump in your throat, your knees knock, or your mouth is dry, ask the question Lord is that you? Smile, Because God is about to unleash one of the most incredible moments in your life! And……..it’s only the beginning!
