Benefits, ADVANTAGE! Matthew Lesko said, There are few in America that really know how to take advantage of the current health care system.  Sunday Adelaja said, When great men die in the race of life, they continue to live because the world can still benefit from their products. These statements are so relevant to Christians in relation to God's word.  Do we really know how to take advantage of the kingdom benefits? Do we realize the benefits Christ bequeath to us in His death and oh yes, RESURRECTION!   Ps 103:2 says,

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. 

My friend what are Heavenly benefits? Of course, we comprehend health care, car insurance, benefits provided by our workplace.  Then we forget there are friends with benefits…..no not those kind unless it’s your spouse.

Webster defines benefits as an advantage or profit gained from something or a payment or gift made by an employer.  Wow! So, wait, what are Heavenly benefits?  Healing is to health care, redeemed is to royalty, forgiveness and mercy is to His amazing love. Not to mention provision and protection better than anywhere in the universe!  My friend benefits from a workplace or car insurance is technically purchased through our services, not entitled.  We receive God's benefits by simply being apart of the family.  Mi familia!  Tu familia!

How do we take advantage of Heavenly benefits? Faith.  Phil Munsey said, God is touched by our feelings but moved by our faith.  What is our faith?  Expecting God to be the Healer, Provider, Protector, His word, and faithfully!  Yes, I admit there are parts of faith that are conditional, but let’s face facts, we barely scratch the surface of receiving our Heavenly benefits.  Remember Hezekiah, Sennacarib, and Isaiah.  Sennacarib intended to capture Israel, but Hezekiah tagged teamed with Isaiah.  When they woke up in the morning the Angel of the Lord had slayed 185,000 soldiers.

When is the last time you wrote a ridiculous check with God’s word and expected God to cash it?  Recently, my requests focused around my birthday.  My disappointment, I should have requested more! Shesh!  A couple of incoming phone calls, an encounter with a servant of God, and those requests were fulfilled.  I don’t know you’re situation, but God does, no matter how magnanimous it may seem. I DARE YOU!  Put God to the test, you will be impressed and blessed!
